October 4th 2012: The Statewide Impact of Oklahoma Tribes
"According to the 2010 Census, these 38 tribes have nearly 483,000 citizens living and working within the state representing nearly 13% of statewide population. Their activities are based substantially in rural area in a state that is continually urbanizing, providing necessary jobs for rural Oklahomans and services for tribal citizens."
An Impact Study prepared by the Steven C. Agee Economic Research and Policy Institute shows a Cherokee Nation contribution of nearly $1billion on the Oklahoma Economy
