Classes are now forming for the Summer Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification Preparation Course at Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business. Summer classes will be held in room 117 of the Meinders School of Business, Northwest 27th and McKinley, each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from June 9 to August 18, 2012 (no class on July 7). All classes are taught by faculty members who are PMP® certified and seasoned project management professionals.

Sixteen Executives will participate in a powerhouse panel discussion next month at the Third Annual Women in Leadership Conference at Oklahoma City University's Meinders School of Business. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. March 29 in the Gardner Conference Center inside the Meinders School of Business at NW 27th Street and McKinley Avenue.

Oklahoma City University’s Love’s Entrepreneurship Center will host four dynamic leaders from the business community at the Spring 2012 Entrepreneurship Day from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 29 in the Kerr-McGee Auditorium at the Meinders School of Business.

Dr. Steven C. Agee will become dean of the Meinders School of Business in January, after ending his tenure as chairman of the Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City at the end of December.

Classes will be held in room 117 of the Meinders School of Business, Northwest 27th and McKinley, each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m from January 28 to April 7, 2012 (no class on March 24 for spring break). The cost of the 10-week program is $1495 plus the cost of books.

The Governor's Energy Conference sponsored by the Karl F. & June S. Martin Family Foundation, the Office of the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and the Meinders School of Business will be held November 9, 2011 at the Cox Business Services Center. The conference features thoughtful, newly-released input from leading natural gas industry executives, prominent national experts from MIT and the Colorado School of Mines, and other industry experts who will share their thoughts on current energy issues.

Dr. Gordon Sellon, economics professor and former federal reserve official, is the featured author in the August edition of the Oklahoma Economic Report published by the Office of the State Treasurer. Sellon reports on the Outlook for Interest Rates.

Renowned energy and enviornmental professor Vaclav Smil and Continental Resources CEO Harold Hamm will discuss energy transitions, environmental issues, horizontal drilling and fracturing techniques at Oklahoma City University's next Karl F. and June S. Martin Family Foundation Energy Management Speaker Series. The conference will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. October 4 at OCU's Meinders School of Business, located at N.W. 27th St. and McKinley Ave.
